Solar Charge Controller
SOL30 is the MPPT solar charge controller for off-grid photovoltaic systems, designed to work with Adelsystem DC-UPS platforms.
It maximizes solar harvesting, follows DC-UPS battery settings automatically, and adds remote visibility through ADELBus communications.
Built for DC-UPS solar integration
SOL30 is designed for off-grid and hybrid PV applications where battery charging, load continuity, and system visibility must work together perfectly.
When solar input is available, the DC-UPS prioritizes PV energy to power the load and charge the battery.
SOL30 adds high-efficiency MPPT tracking and native integration with Adelsystem backup solutions.
System logic
- Uses MPPT technology to extract the maximum available energy from the PV module throughout the day.
- Works in parallel with the main AC input through the AdelSystem DC-UPS architecture.
- Automatically transfers battery configuration from the
DC-UPS over ADELBus. - Supports open lead acid, AGM, Gel, Li-Ion and LiFePO4 battery technologies.
Why it matters
- In daylight conditions, available solar energy can be prioritized to support the load and recharge the battery, reducing grid energy usage.
- Maintains charging behavior aligned with the wider DC-UPS system configuration.
- Provides local diagnostics and full network monitoring for faster commissioning and service.
- Fits harsh industrial environments thanks to wide temperature range and rugged polycarbonate housing.
Designed for OEMs and panel builders who need a solar charging stage that fits directly into DIN-rail control panels instead of forcing a wall-mounted or multi-box architecture.
Ideal for small decentralized control cabinets where solar power supports battery charging, telemetry, sensors or automation loads in locations without stable grid availability.
Useful for CCTV, access control and field monitoring nodes where daytime solar input can extend battery autonomy and reduce site maintenance pressure.
Automatic PV-based lighting control and multi-event load control make the device suitable for solar lighting systems and time-sensitive load activation strategies.
Best fit when the customer already uses an AdelSystem DC-UPS and needs a tightly integrated solar charging layer rather than a separate standalone controller.
The slim 18 mm housing is built for control panels and industrial cabinets, making integration cleaner and faster than multi-device architectures that require extra mounting adaptation.
By combining solar charging with a connected DC-UPS architecture, the system reduces wiring complexity, external accessories and potential points of failure across the installation.
SOL30 follows the charging parameters already managed by the DC-UPS, which helps maintain consistent battery treatment, diagnostics and safer lifecycle management across the whole system.
When sunlight is available, the architecture prioritizes PV energy for battery charging and load support, reducing dependence on grid power even when AC is still present.
Front-facing connections, compact mechanics, self-diagnostics and shared configuration simplify commissioning, replacement and field troubleshooting for technical teams.
Integrated with CBI6024A and CBI6012A
SOL30 is especially effective when paired with CBI6024A or CBI6012A, creating a compact solar-ready backup system where the
DC-UPS, battery and PV input work as one coordinated platform.
Key Features
MPPT charge control
Tracks the true maximum power point of the PV module and adapts to changing solar conditions. Achieves peak efficiency of 98% and maximizes daily energy harvest at low, medium, and high power levels.
Direct DC-UPS integration
Automatically inherits battery settings (Boost, Float, Recovery) from the connected Adelsystem DC-UPS via ADELBus. Eliminates configuration mismatches and reduces setup time.
Data logging
Stores up to 10 days of detailed power and load data (when connected to CBI60). Enables performance analysis, field verification, and predictive maintenance.
ADELBus communications
Full bidirectional communication for monitoring, configuration, firmware updates, and real-time diagnostics within the Adelsystem ecosystem.
Self diagnostics
Continuous monitoring with clear status LEDs and fault codes reported via ADELBus. Makes commissioning and troubleshooting significantly faster.
Fanless, compact design
Ultra-slim 18 mm width, DIN-rail or wall mount, polycarbonate housing. Designed for harsh industrial environments with operating temperature from -25°C to +60°C and MTBF > 700,000 hours.
